Drawing on one of the entertainment games you play regularly (tell us which one), answer the following questions:
- What elements combine to create the character in your game? What do you focus on?
- How much control do you have over your characters’ (a) appearance (b) actions (c) character’s values, personality, attitude/s (d) life choices/chances?
- In what ways can you exercise this control?
- What assumptions does the game make about your relationship, as a player to different characters? How do you find out about this?
- Do different levels, settings have an effect on the characters, or on your response to characters as you go through the game?
